A little help getting settled

Let's get your photos on screen.

Contact hzlinj@126.com. Include your TV model, app version, the step that failed and the error message. Please omit passwords, API keys, payment details and private photos.

Connect an Immich library

  1. Have your Immich server running and reachable from the TV.
  2. Choose Connect my library. Scan the TV code with your phone and enter the server address and your login, or enter them using the TV's manual connection option.
  3. To use a read-only API key, grant album.read, asset.read and asset.view. Do not provide an administrator key.
  4. Choose an album and a photo. Immich videos are not played in this first version; USB video playback is a separate source.

The browser interface preview cannot bypass your Immich server's browser cross-origin restrictions. A successful sample preview is not proof that your server is connected.

Play a USB folder

  1. Connect a USB drive to the Samsung TV and open USB drive.
  2. Select the drive, then a folder. Open a file for basic single-file playback.
  3. Play this folder starts a continuous sequence of supported photos and videos. This is a Pro feature in the planned commercial version; the current preview has billing disabled.
  4. Use Back to stop playback before removing the drive. If a video fails, try another file supported by your TV.

FrameNook lists the current folder, not every subfolder recursively. A folder displays up to 600 items. Use smaller folders for larger collections. Physical USB hot-plug testing is still pending.

Connection or playback stopped

Confirm that the TV and Immich server can reach one another. Check the server address and permissions. Expired login credentials need reconnecting. Your previous working connection is retained when a new connection attempt fails. When the TV app goes into the background, playback pauses.

Purchase help

Purchases are not enabled in the preview. Once available, use the phone checkout to check a pending payment or enter a recovery code. If you need help locating a transaction or requesting a refund, send its PayPal transaction reference to support; never send your PayPal password.
